4. Do I need to own a business to use China2SA?

No. China2SA is available to both individuals and businesses. Whether you're purchasing one item for personal use or importing products for your business, we can assist.

2. Shopping & Purchasing

5. Can China2SA purchase products on my behalf?

Yes! Our We Buy For You service allows you to purchase products from China without having to deal directly with Chinese suppliers.

Simply send us a product link, photo, or description of what you need. We will assist with sourcing, purchasing, receiving, and shipping your order to South Africa.

Any applicable purchasing or service fees will be communicated before you confirm your order.

6. Which Chinese websites can I shop from?

You can shop from most Chinese online stores and marketplaces, including Alibaba, 1688, Taobao, and other Chinese suppliers.

Products must comply with our shipping restrictions and South African import regulations.

7. Can I buy from multiple suppliers?

Absolutely! You can purchase from as many different suppliers as you like and have all your orders delivered to your China2SA warehouse address.

We can then consolidate eligible packages into one shipment, potentially reducing your international shipping costs.

8. Can China2SA help me find a product if I don't have a supplier?

Yes. Send us a photo, product description, or specifications, and our team can assist in finding suitable suppliers in China.

Product availability and pricing will depend on the supplier.

3. Shipping & Consolidation

9. What is package consolidation?

Package consolidation is when we combine multiple packages from different suppliers into one shipment.

Instead of paying international shipping charges separately for each package, you can ship them together, which may significantly reduce your overall shipping costs.

10. How much does shipping from China to South Africa cost?

Shipping costs depend on the weight, dimensions, type of goods, and selected shipping method.

Request a quote and we will estimate the cost for you before shipping.

Please note that customs duties, VAT, and other applicable charges may not be included in the shipping estimate.

11. What is volumetric weight, and how does it affect shipping costs?

Volumetric weight is calculated using the space a package occupies rather than just its actual weight.

Large, lightweight packages may cost more to ship because they take up additional cargo space.

Shipping charges may be calculated using the greater of actual weight or volumetric weight, depending on the shipping method.

12. Can I ship large or oversized items?

Yes, certain oversized items may be accepted, subject to approval.

Very large, heavy, unusually shaped, or difficult-to-handle items may incur additional handling, storage, or shipping charges.

We recommend contacting China2SA before purchasing oversized products.

13. How long does shipping from China to South Africa take?

Delivery times depend on the selected shipping method, shipment schedule, customs clearance, and other logistics factors.

Estimated delivery times will be provided when available. All delivery estimates are indicative and not guaranteed.

14. Can I track my shipment?

Yes. You can log in to your China2SA account to view available updates on your packages and shipment progress.

15. How long does package consolidation take?

Package consolidation normally takes approximately 2–4 business days, depending on the number of packages, warehouse workload, and seasonal demand.

4. Customs, Duties & Restricted Goods

16. Are customs duties and VAT included in the shipping price?

Unless specifically stated otherwise, customs duties, import VAT, and any applicable customs clearance charges are not included in the shipping price.

These charges depend on the product category, declared customs value, and applicable South African import regulations.

17. What products are prohibited or restricted?

Certain products cannot be shipped or may require special approval or documentation.

These may include dangerous goods, flammable materials, certain batteries, chemicals, weapons, counterfeit products, and other restricted items.

Please review our Terms & Conditions or contact us before purchasing any item you are unsure about.

18. Can I import products for resale in South Africa?

Yes. China2SA can assist businesses importing products for resale.

Commercial imports may require additional documentation, importer registration, product certification, or regulatory approval.

Customers remain responsible for ensuring their imports comply with South African laws.

5. Warehouse & Package Handling

19. How long can I store packages at your warehouse?

Storage is free for 7 days (Standard), 14 days (VIP) or 30 days (Enterprise); after that it is charged at R50 per day.

Packages unpaid, unclaimed, or inactive for more than 30 days may be treated under the abandoned-package policy, with additional provisions after 60 days. The 30- and 60-day periods are counted from the date the package arrives at the warehouse, not from the end of the free storage period.

Please refer to our Terms & Conditions and Fair Usage Policy for full details.

20. Will China2SA inspect my packages?

We may perform basic visual inspections and check packages for obvious external damage or shipping restrictions.

However, China2SA does not guarantee a full product inspection, functionality test, or verification of product quality unless a specific inspection service has been agreed upon.

21. What happens if my package arrives damaged?

If visible damage is identified during receiving or handling, we will endeavour to notify you.

You may need to contact the original seller to arrange a return, replacement, or refund.

China2SA's responsibility for damaged or missing goods is subject to our Terms & Conditions and any applicable law.

6. Payments & Customer Support

22. When do I pay for shipping?

Once your packages are ready for shipment and the applicable shipping charges have been calculated, you will be able to review the charges and make payment.

Your shipment will be processed according to the selected service and payment requirements.

23. Can I cancel an order or request a refund?

Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the service purchased, the stage of processing, supplier conditions, and applicable consumer protection laws.

Please review our Terms & Conditions or contact our support team for assistance.

24. What happens if my shipment is delayed?

International shipping can occasionally experience delays due to customs inspections, carrier schedules, weather conditions, or other circumstances outside our control.

We will provide available shipment updates and assist with enquiries where possible.

25. How do I contact China2SA?

You can contact our customer support team through the contact options provided on our website.
